Vatican City: Potential successors to become the new leader of the Roman Catholic Church emerged after the passing of Pope Francis. The selection process for Pope Francis’ successor focuses on Cardinal Pietro Parolin of Italy and Peter Turkson of Ghana as well as Luis Antonio Tagle representing the Philippines and Peter Erdö from Hungary and Myroslav Ivan Lubachivsky hailing from Ukraine.
The Pope Francis completed his life at 88 years old. Through his 12 years as pope he fought different health problems. He had recently gotten better after a long medical condition which led to his dismissal from hospital care. The Christian religious festival of Easter marked the occasion of meetings he convened during that time period.
Selected individuals must now determine the next pope while shaping the name of their candidate to lead the Catholic Church across the world.
